Juliana Prototypes

This will be my final blog about the Juliana (D&E) manufactured part of Mr DeLizza's collection.  This blog will show a couple of prototype pieces from Mr DeLizza's collection. Both pieces were attempts to expand off of their very successful rhinestones with scroll work belts.  However after getting a working prototype it was determined they could not be made for a price that would support the sale price they would bring.  So the designs were scrapped.

The first design was a small purse.  For the size of the purse it is very heavy since it is totally made of rhinestones, faux pearls, heart scroll work and what we call "H" connectors.  This purse is really a work of art.

The second is a cigarette case.  It is done with all clear rhinestones with "H" connectors.  The navettes are etched in a star pattern.  It too is very heavy and totally gorgeous.

Next weeks blog will be about the next stage in Mr DeLizza's career.  After closing his factory Mr DeLizza used his experience to help the careers of other jewelry designers.  One of which was Doreen Ryan and Mr DeLizza has in his collection pieces from her early designs.
