The first one of these barrettes that I saw that was Juliana (D&E) and signed made in France was actually not from this collection of items. It was from a member of the Juliana Study Group I run on Facebook. When first seen in the group we were sure it was Juliana due to the construction but were confused by Made in France on the clip. We contacted Jan who still had the collection from Mr DeLizza and I had not seen it yet. She confirmed that yes, she did have barrettes from Mr DeLizza signed that way. It was later figured out they are signed this way because the barrette part is made in France but the decoration was made and attached by Juliana (D&E). Other companies also did that so not all barrettes marked Made in France are Juliana. Not all Juliana barrettes must be marked Made in France.
Juliana also made other hair items including bobby pins and hair combs. There is an example of a hair comb in Mr DeLizza's book on page 58. There are also other examples of hair items in my book Juliana Jewelry - The Last Generation. They are also seen in the IsItJulianaJewelry.com database.
